How to Play?
Your challenge is to accurately predict the podium finishes across a race weekend plus the fastest laps. With two prizes up for grabs per weekend, it’s up to you to use your judgement and predict the right results in order to qualify for each prize.
So how do you do that?
In the Podium Predictor for BTCC, each correct podium and fastest lap prediction will give you 10 points, so with three races and three podium positions to predict you can score a maximum of 90 points. You can also score an additional 10 points for predicting the fastest lap for each race, so another 30 points over the three races.
In the Podium Predictor for IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC), each correct podium and fastest lap prediction will give you 10 points, so with three classes and three podium positions to predict you can score a maximum of 90 points. You can also score an additional 10 points for predicting the fastest lap for each class so another 30 points over the race.
This means in total each race weekend you could score a maximum of 120 points.
|BTCC Race 1 / IWSC Prototype Class||BTCC Race 2 / IWSC GT Le Mans Class||BTCC Race 3 / IWSC GT Daytona Class||Points across position|
|Points across BTCC Races / IWSC Race||40||40||40||Max pts 120|
That’s no mean feat, are you up for the challenge?
Game 1: Beat the Pundit
Prize – 50,000 IHG® Rewards Club points plus signed motorsport artwork & gifts
To be in with a chance of winning 50,000 IHG® Rewards Club points and other prizes, you will need to score more points than the ‘pundit of the event’. As this is about beating the pundit, scoring the same number of points will not be enough to enter you into the prize draw.
To be entered into the sweepstake for a chance to win 50,000 IHG® Rewards Club points and other prizes, you must score at least 10 more points than that event’s pundit.
Game 2: Ultimate Predictor
Prize - 1,000,000 IHG® Rewards Club points
In order to qualify for the ultimate prize, you’ll need to predict every podium finish and all race and class fastest laps correctly, scoring the maximum 120 points.
Should you get all the podiums and fastest lap winners correct then you will be the Ultimate Predictor Prize winner of One Million (1,000,000) IHG® Rewards Club points.
If there is more than one person per BTCC or IWSC race weekend that correctly predicts all podium places and all fastest laps as per the Game 2 rules, and gains maximum game points in either game, then the prize points will be split equally between all the correct winners as a part share.
- You won’t receive any points for incorrect predictions
- If your selected driver or racecar does not start a race, is disqualified or does not finish the race, you won’t receive any points for that selection
- You can amend your selection as long as you log back in and submit before the countdown finishes
- You must make ALL twelve predictions per race weekend to enter
- You must agree to the terms and conditions and register as a user of the site to enter
- Prizes are only awarded per BTCC or IWSC race event weekend, they are not accrued over the course of the race season
- Winners will be contacted directly by email, so you must have provided a current and working email address
- To collect the IHG® Rewards Club points prizes the winner must have a current, or open a new, IHG® Rewards Club account
NB - IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (two race class weekends)
There will be no option to win the One Million IHG® Rewards Club points for the correct prediction to the race results, for the three race events that only have two race classes competing (eight permutations of two correctly identified podium results and two fastest laps per race class category). However, the opportunity remains to win the Beat The Pundit 50,000 IHG® Rewards Club points for these specific events.
For the avoidance of doubt the specific race track events that are excluded from winning One Million IHG® Rewards Club points are as follows: Raceway at Belle Isle Park (P and GTD), Lime Rock Park (GTLM and GTD), VIRginia International Raceway (GTLM and GTD), also respectively referred to during 2017 to as Chevrolet Sports Car Classic, Northeast Grand Prix and Michelin GT Challenge at VIR.
